St. Colmcille’s SNS are working towards obtaining their first Amber Flag this year. The Amber Flag is an initiative run by Pieta House and aims to promote positive mental health in schools. We began work in October and have had several monthly themes such as Kindness and Gratitude. Kindness week was a big success with beautiful displays popping up around the school and many acts of kindness happening- many of them anonymously. Gratitude was the theme in December and you can see some of the incredible work the children did in the photographs below.
Our ‘Wellbeing Warriors’ from each year group, help with our initiative and proudly wear their badge. St Colmcille’s have several programmes in place to promote positive mental health such as being a Restorative School, The Lust for Life programme, Friends For Life and Weaving Wellbeing.
